THE “FAT-STORING” ADIPOCYTE
In 2013, with Body Lift Cellulite Control, Clarins highlighted the role played by the progenitor cell in the expansion of adipose tissue: by being differentiated into the preadipocyte, and then into the “fat-storing” adipocyte, capable of storing massive amounts of fat and multiplying, it maintains the vicious cycle of cellulite.

THE “BURNING” ADIPOCYTE
It plays a favourable role in continuously burning fat to ensure the body’s energy needs. In balanced conditions, when calorie intake is equivalent to calories burned, the “burning” adipocyte does not store fat long-term, but releases it immediately. Thus, energy is continuously supplied for proper metabolism function.

THE “FIBRE-PRODUCING” ADIPOCYTE
It produces collagen fibres involved in the structure of adipose tissue. In normal conditions, the “fibre-producing” adipocyte is practically non-existent and plays a positive role, only producing a few fibres necessary for adipose tissue’s structure and resistance.
